Purple
2026
Inspired by an article about the science of color perception, this work explores how the human brain constructs the color purple. Unlike colors associated with specific wavelengths of visible light, purple is a nonspectral color created by the brain when it processes signals from red and blue light.
Through this concept, the work examines the relationship between visual perception and reality, questioning how much of what we see is shaped by our brains rather than by the physical world.
